A cave I have only visited once before (in 2013) & of which I have little memory.
A group of four set off from Bull Pot Farm armed with an 8m rope for the entrance & a description of the route to Gour Hall.
We found the cave with no problem and abseiled or climbed down the entrance shaft.
Then came some awkward crawls and more route decisions than I remembered.
All went well to the Hall of Ten, where we had a bit of a navigational faff, but managed to find the Balcony & the way on past a drippy pool and into some tight crawls.
We eventually arrived at Gour Hall, which has an interesting ringing noise and some good formations.
We then backtracked to the Balcony and went to the Hall of the Mountain King with its interesting mud sculptures and boot sucking mud.
We the left the cave with only a minor navigational faff, but managed to coat ourselves in mud on the way.
Having got back to Bull Pot Farm we spent about 20 minutes in the cleaning pool before changing & driving back to the YSS.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
